Description
There will be an Open House at Scripps Institution of Oceanography held to acquaint divers with the collections currently held by Scripps. The purpose of the event is to let divers see the collections and learn how the specimens are used by the scientific community. The five major natural history collections at Scripps together comprise the largest, most complete natural history repository devoted to the study of the world's oceans. The marine Vertebrate collection alone contains over 2,000,000 specimens representing more than 5,300 species.

Light refreshments will be served.
