Scripps Institution of Oceanography is celebrating its 100th birthday tomorrow, and several special public events are scheduled so that everyone can join the party.

The Scripps Centennial/UCSD Open House named Oceans of Fun will be held on the campus in La Jolla Saturday, Oct. 25, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. 2003 theme, "Oceans of Fun," honors the Scripps centennial. Scripps is hosting a Centennial Open House as part of the annual UCSD Open House from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Come to the Scripps campus to meet Scripps researchers and see science exhibits. From 10 a.m.-3 p.m., stroll down the Scripps Pier, which is not normally open to the public.
